How important are phylums on the AP Biology test?

biology test
Nicole asked:

I’m doing some major cramming for my AP biology test, and I just saw the huge list of phylums under the kingdom mammalia. How familiar should I be with these for the test?

im guessing not that important because we have taken like 3 practice ap tests and they werent really on there. a lot of graphs and photosynthesis! but go back through the book and get main ideas of the chapter and the key ideas! good luck

Pylums aren’t that important. Really the main stuff to study is 1st semester material such as Photosynthesis and Cellular Respiration. But remember your C3, C4, and CAM plants; there are a lot of questions on those. And yes graphs are important as well, but if you don’t recognize some of them on the test, it’s okay because most of them are easy to understand and get with a few seconds of thought.
    Good luck!

Well there were a bunch of questions on it today, so I guess it was pretty important.

there were like 3 questions on phylums and i wish i could have reviewed it more, but overall it was a fair test. Last year it was all about plants and this year it was all about animals xD
The essays were amazing =] except that first fish one…….. anyways good luck i hope we all get 5s
