If a person at an altitude of 15,000 ft takes in the same volume of air with each breath as she does while walking at sea level, what is the ratio of the mass of oxygen inhaled for each breath at this high altitude compered to that at sea level?

Fluid statics question?

An iron anchor appears 20,000 N lighter in water than in air.
What is the volume of the anchor?
How much does it weigh in air?
I think i got the volum right at .127m^3, but Im unsure how to solve for the weight in air, and Im hoping to get confirmation on the volume, thanks for your help.

The troposphere extends to an altitude of 11km where the pressure is 22.6 kPa. in the next layer, the stratosphere, the temperature remains constant at -56.5 celcius. determine the pressure and density in this layer at an altitude of 15 km. assuming g = 9.77 m/s^2

How to train for fitness if you cant run?

I lost the use of my left leg in a training accident with the army almost a year ago. While i was a soldier I used to run or cycle 10/15 km a day at least. Now I can hardly walk without a stick.
Because of this my fitness and health is suffering. I eat healthy but weight * about 25lbs* is creeping up. Is there ANY cardiovasculer training I can do that will keep me fit, burn off calories and not make me look like a nugget while doing it?!

An empty tank is 6 feet in diameter and 10 feet long. The tank is placed underground in a horizontal position and to a depth where the ground water level is 4 feet above the top of the tank. The buoyant force on the tank due to the ground water is MOST NEARLY ______ lbs.
